Day 1

We head to the border, on the Western highway (now called George Price Highway) for a 10 minutes drive. You will then stamp your passport at both borders and our Guatemala guide will be waiting for you. From the Guatemalan Border to Tikal is about 1 hour an 45 minutes drive. We will then spend the full day exploring the largest and most spectacular of most Mayan Sites, Tikal. The eight massive pyramids of Tikal that tower above the vast rainforest are the most impressive collection of structures in the New World. Many can be climbed via stairs, and from high above the trees we will observe the rainforest and the surrounding pyramids.
